Glen R. “Bob” Bullock, age 62 years, a resident of the Flatwoods community, passed away Sunday morning, August 26, 2012, at 7:37 AM at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.
Bob was born August 10, 1950 in the Flatwoods community of Johnson County Illinois. He was the son of Harlen C. Bullock & Avis E. (Dunn) Bullock.
Bob was united in marriage to Anita L. Stockdale on December 24, 1971 at the home of Pastor Lowell West in Cypress, Illinois. She survives.
Other survivors include his daughters, Bobbi Baker and her husband Kenny Baker II of Vienna, IL, Amanda Bullock of Boston, MA, and Rebecca Glass and her husband Doug of West Vienna, IL; six grandchildren, Calissa, Ryan, Mackenzie, Kenneth “Lee” Jasper, & Kassidy; a Sister, Naomi Swank and her husband Tom of Stillman Valley, IL; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Bob was anticipating the birth of a granddaughter in October 2012.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by an infant brother, Benjamin Arthur “Buddy” Bullock.
Bob was a 1968 graduate of Vienna High School. He was employed for many years by the University of Illinois Agricultural Station at Dixon Springs. Bob was also a lifelong farmer and enjoyed tinkering on farm machinery. He was devoted to his family. He cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren and also with his loving wife Anita, as they would enjoy rides around the farm on their side-by-side ATV.
Bob was a member of the County Line Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Friday morning, August 31, 2012, at 11 AM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Burial will be in the Kerley Cemetery in the Flatwoods community. Visitation will be from 5 PM – 8 PM Thursday at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
