Cypress School is scheduled to begin Aug. 15

The school doors will open at 7:50 a.m. for Cypress Elementary School as they begin the 2012-2013 school year on Wednesday, August 15.

Breakfast will be served on Wednesday and students will dismiss at 10:30 a.m. School will dismiss at 1:30 p.m. August 16 and 17.

Beginning on Monday, August 20, regular dismissal time at 3:00 p.m. will begin.

The first day for Pre-K is Wednesday, August 15th. Due to cuts in funding from the state, the school will be running only two buses this year. Please allow drivers a few days for routes to be established.

All students entering kindergarten need to have a physical, eye exam and dental exam.

Any student entering the sixth grade will need to have a physical completed by the beginning of school.

Physicals are also required for any students participating in sports. Physicals need to be turned in on or before Friday, August 17. Students entering kindergarten, second and sixth grade will also need to have a dental exam.

The price of breakfast is $1.00 per day and lunch is $1.50 per day for students. The reduced price for breakfast is $.30 per day and the reduced price for lunch is $.40 per day. All meals must be paid for in advance.

Any new students enrolling in Cypress Elementary School for the first time need to contact the school office prior to the first day of school. Registration packets will be sent home with each child on Wednesday, August 15. If there are any questions, please contact the school at 657-2525.
