Johnson County Pony League players make a play

Vienna’s Brey Kreutzer (left) saves the play as both she and Lily Greer look to make an infield play at the bottom of the first against Goreville in Pony League play Monday at the Goreville Village Park. Vienna fell twice in a double header against Goreville 19-4 in the first game and 16-0 in the second. The team has struggled in its short season without any wins on the books but has seen many improvements lately for a team with mostly first-time players.  ~ photo Joe Rehana
