Softball: Vienna vs. Hardin County

The softball Eagles dropped a home contest to Hardin County last Wednesday, by the score of 11-6. Emily VanAusdoll pitched the complete game for Vienna.

Hardin County was ahead 7-0 before the Eagles scored twice in the bottom of the fourth inning. Vienna closed the gap to 7-6 with four more runs in the sixth inning, but the Lady Cougars tallied four unanswered runs in the top of the seventh to make the final score.

Top hitters for Vienna: Kotter 2-3 (RBI); Stout 2-4 (RBI); VanAusdoll 2-4 (3 RBI’s).

On the schedule this week for Vienna: Wednesday at Carrier Mills; Thursday at Chester; Friday home vs. Marion.
