Louise Mathis

Louise Hanle Mathis, 91, of Karnak, passed away at 8:55 p.m. Monday, January 15, 2018 at the Metropolis Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
Louise was born December 11, 1927 in Karnak.  She was a graduate of Karnak Community High School, she was united in marriage with John Mathis  on April 29, 1951.  Louise  was a member of the  Karnak United Methodist Church  and the United Methodist Women, she served as treasurer for the church for many years.  Louise worked many years as a secretary for Judge Williamson in Johnson County  and she also worked  at Shawnee Community College as a Librarian .
Louise is survived by one nephew, Chuck  Evers of Karnak; special friend, Elaine Wright of Karnak .
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Mathis; her parents, Ed and Ruth Jones Hanle; one sister, Shirley Evers;  brother-in-law, Charlie Evers.
 Funeral services honoring the life of Mrs. Louise Hanle Mathis will be  at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak.  Rev. Alan Milligan will be officiating.  The family will receive friends from 11  till the funeral hour  Thursday morning  at the funeral home .  Interment will follow at the Masonic Cemetery in Cypress .  Pallbearers serving  will be  Jeff Jordan , Paul Hanle, Chuck Peck, Nick Richardson, Tadge Wilson and Garrett Wilson .
