John Glova, Jr., age 66 years, of Vienna, passed away unexpectedly on October 5, 2017 at his home. He was born in Brownsville, PA and raised in Dayton, NJ. He had also lived in Edison, NJ and Colorado Springs, CO.
He retired as a heavy equipment operator in 2009 from Operating Engineers, Local 318, in Marion, IL He was previously employed by Glova Construction Company in NJ, Operating Engineers, Local 825, in NJ and Shelko-Wilson Construction in NJ. While living in Colorado Springs, he owned his own business, Glova Construction West.
John was preceded in death by his parents Mary (Brusyo) Zelasko and John P. Glova, Sr. and his maternal grandparents Peter and Mary Brusyo and his paternal grandparents Joseph and Mary Glova.
He is survived by two sons Travis Shane Glova and his wife Laura of Cedar Rapids, IA and Trevor Lance Glova of Cedar Rapids, IA, his sister Susan Glova of Monroe Twp., NJ, his brother Joseph Glova and his wife Deanna of Monroe Twp., NJ, his sister Judith Glova of Beverly Hills, CA, his sister Marie D’Urso and her husband Richard of South Plainfield, NJ, his step-brothers Edward R. Zelasko and his wife Jane of Monroe Twp., NJ and William Zelasko of South River, NJ and his granddaughter London, of Cedar Rapids, IA and other extended family members.
John enjoyed many hobbies including fishing, hunting, metal detecting, working on computers, photography and dancing.
Arrangements were entrusted to Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
