Lucille A. Bunch – Obituary

Mrs. Lucille A. Bunch, age 95, of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Massac Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm Sunday, June 18, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Metropolis with Rev. Clay Blankenbaker and Dr. Joe Buchanan officiating. Burial will follow in Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Bunch was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Metropolis and an Eastern Star. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Lucille is survived by her children, Deanna Krueter and husband John “Sonny”, Brenda Olsen and husband Harold, Rickey Bunch and wife Karen all of Metropolis, and Trena Brewer of Nashville, TN; six grandchildren, Vickie (Ronnie) Coram, Jimmy (Angie) Casey, Holly (Clay) Blankenbaker, Valerie (Nate) Stephens, Ben Bunch and Chad Brewer; nine great grandchildren, Kristy (Johnathan) Barnett, Casey (Sean) Looper, Marissa (Paulo) Ferreira, Samantha (Raymond) Walker, Caleb Blankenbaker, Sarah Blankenbaker, Seth Blankenbaker, Hadley Stephens, and Ella Stephens; seven great-great grandchildren, Paisley Barnett, Tyler Barnett, Parker Barnett, Tanner Barnett, Chesney Looper, Nolan Looper, and Raymond Kelly Walker; two sisters, Marjorie Mullenbein and Dorothy Kelley both of Vienna; one brother, Glen Dunn of Fairfield, IL; special friends, Ken, Julie, Barton, and Chase Terry; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Lillie (Johnson) Dunn; husband of 47 years, Thomas M. Bunch; infant daughter, Marjorie Elaine Bunch; two sisters, Fern Mullinax and Marilene West; three brothers, Paul Dunn, Webster Dunn, and Clifton Dunn.

Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 pm on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Metropolis Building Fund 307 Massac Creek Road Metropolis, IL 62960.
