Shelby Palmer, 80 of Anna, died Thursday, March 23, 2017 in Carbondale. Mrs. Palmer was born in Vienna, Illinois May 5, 1936, a daughter to the late Everett and Ruth (Morris) Darnell.
Shelby and her husband, Bob have been residents of Anna for many years. She was a homemaker with a passion for interior decorating and it was evident when you entered her home.
Shelby was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her quiet voice and loving demeanor will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Memorial services will be conducted 1pm on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna, IL, with Rev. Curtis Craig officiating. Visitation will be from 11am until the hour of services on Tuesday at Bailey Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband, Bob of Anna; two daughters and one son-in-law, Brenda and Dan Parr of Murphysboro and Jill Rendleman of Anna; one son, Brad Palmer of Perryville, Mo.; five grandchildren, Jamie (Lisa) Edwards of Palm Coast Florida, Kelly (Lance) Richter of Bossier City, La., Samantha (Bill) Krieger of Murphysboro, Ryan Palmer of Perryville, Mo. and Emily Fisher of Jackson, Mo., two great grandchildren, Jenna Richter and fiancée, Claude Daniel of Bossier City, La. and Hanna Edwards of Palm Coast, Fl.; one sister, Roma (Rudy) Boester of Marion; and other relatives and friends.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
