4-H shooting program planned

A 4-H shot gun program is set to begin Sat., March 4, at 10:00 a.m. at Tall Tree Lake near Buncombe. Any youth ages 10 – 18 is eligible to participate.

An enrollment fee of $20.00 is due at first meeting.

Youth should wear appropriate shoes and dress according to the weather.

Youth do not have to own a gun to participate and equipment and supplies will be on-hand for youth to use.

“Rhonda and her volunteers have years of experience to share with your son or daughter,” says Jody Johnson, county extension director.

“Shooting sports is a program that teaches youth about responsibility, respect and how to be a caring person. We hope to see you and your youth there on Saturday.”
