Goreville superintendent selected for Shawnee president search committee

Goreville Community Unit School District No. 1 Superintendent Dr. Steve Webb was recently selected by the Shawnee Community College Board of Directors to serve on the 2017 President Search Committee.

The Search Committee is charged with reviewing all applicants for their position of president and select finalists for the board.

The new president will replace Dr. Tim Bellamy who is retiring at the end of the current school year.

“I appreciate the Board’s confidence in me and their willingness to work collaboratively with their district schools to find their new leader,”  Webb said in a news release.

“Shawnee College is a great partner for us, especially in our Dual Credit Program and I have great faith that the new President will continue those relationships and initiatives we have started.”

Finalists for the position will be selected in March 2017 in hopes for securing a new president by May 2017.
