Michael R. Veach – Obituary

Michael R. Veach, age 50 years, a resident of rural Simpson and a former resident of Buckner and Christopher, Illinois, passed away Friday evening, December 2, 2016, at 11:37 PM at his home.

Michael was born December 31, 1965 in Springfield, Illinois. He was the son of John L. Veach, Jr. and Mary L. (Busler) Veach.

Michael is survived by: his loving companion and best friend Lisa Greenwood of Simpson; a daughter – Lorrie (her husband, Adam) Horton of Lone Oak, Kentucky; 2 grandchildren – Gabriel and Jude Horton; a brother – J.J. Veach of Marion; an aunt – Beverly (her husband, Andy) Meuth of Arlington, Texas, along with nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.

In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by a brother – Shawn Veach.

Michael was a 1984 graduate of Christopher Community High School. He had been employed as a construction laborer. Michael was a member of the Italian Club in Coello, Illinois. He was of the Christian faith.

Michael enjoyed horseback riding, fishing, and spending time with the love of his life, Lisa.

A memorial service honoring the life of Michael Veach will be conducted at a later date.
