New website for Vienna High School, old yearbooks now online

Vienna High School has announced that its presence on the world wide web (www.viennahighschool.com) has undergone a much needed renovation.

The website offers all of the content and resources that the previous one did, which has served the community for over 15 years, with some new features.

Superintendent Joshua W. Stafford explained, “We know that when people are looking at our community one of the first impressions that we make is by our online presence and that presence is just as important as making sure that our ‘front door’ is welcoming and cleaning.”

The site is user friendly and offers a great amount of information to students, staff, parents and the community.

One of the new additions to the website includes sections under the ‘media’ tab that make available archived yearbooks, graduation programs, class composites, school newspapers, school news broadcasts and other historical information.

While these sections are not currently all complete the school is continue to work on adding content weekly.

Stafford said, “Being able to preserve the rich history of Vienna for our alumni through yearbooks and other artifacts is very important.  We intentionally have held off on publicly releasing information about the new site until Thanksgiving week in hope that families can enjoy the content that is currently on the site while together.”

Currently the school has all yearbooks with the exception of 1940-1945, 1948, 1951, 1953, 1956, 1959, 1960, 2005, 2013, and any yearbooks prior to 1939.  Anyone that might have these specific years is encouraged to contact Mrs. Rosa Sparks at rosajsparks@viennahighschool.com or at 618-658-4461, extension 215.

Due to the size of the yearbooks, they do take a few minutes to download so please be patient.
