Masons give to schools

The officers and members of Vienna Masonic Lodge #150 AF&AM donated reflective Halloween trick-or-treat bags and glow stick necklaces to area school children. The lodge started this annual donation program to youngsters in Pre-K through 5th grade at Vienna Grade School a number of years ago.

This year, however, in addition to VGS, the lodge added Cypress Grade School, Buncombe Grade School and New Simpson Hill Grade School. Approximately 580 trick-or-treat bags and glow sticks were donated. As part of its ongoing outreach to the community, Vienna Masonic Lodge believes that it is very important to focus on supporting area children and youth activities.

The lodge wishes to thank the area schools and their administration for facilitating the donation and assisting with the distribution of these items to the children. Pictured at Cypress Grade School are WM Brother Carl Brasher and JW Brother John Summers making the donations on Monday, Oct 31.
