Robert D. “Bob” Cole, age 67 years, a resident of Westminster, Colorado and a former resident of Goreville, passed away Wednesday morning, October 5, 2016, at 11:55 AM at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
Bob was born May 6, 1949 in Springfield, Illinois.
He is survived by: his children – Angela (her husband, Brett) McRoy of Goreville, Veronica (her husband, Hunter) Lemperle of Firestone, Colorado, and Kendall (Nyma Johnson) Cole of Harrisburg; 11 grandchildren – Kayla, Danielle, April, Destiney, Cody, Jayden, Jaxson, Cash, Ellie, Avaida, and Lanori; 2 sisters – Diane (her husband, Keith) Thomas of Gallatin, Tennessee, and Patty Martin of Eldorado; 3 brothers – Richard (his wife, Michelle) Martin of Simpson, John S. Martin of Eldorado, and Greg Martin of Harrisburg.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents – John O. and Elouise “Toots” (Moore) Martin.
Bob was a U.S. army veteran. He attended Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield. He was employed as a power plant engineer.
Bob enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He also loved watching TV westerns. Bob loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was of the Christian faith.
A private family memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
