Vienna High School registration set

Vienna High School registration will be held on Wednesday, July 27, from noon to 6 p.m. and Thursday, July 28 from 7 a.m. to noon with makeup days on Wednesday, Aug. 3 and Tuesday, Aug. 9 in the principals office from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A parent or guardian must accompany students on one of these days to complete the registration process.

Student schedules are available for review online in the Student Management System by logging onto student management at http://www.viennahighschool.com/login.htm.

If students require any schedule changes, please note that they will not be addressed during school registration.

All changes will need to be made no later than the end of the second week into school.

For convenience, the master schedule is available online at http://www.viennahighschool.com/studentresources to determine what would be the best solution for any schedule changes.

A schedule change request form must be submitted to the school for all changes.

This form will be available at registration or can be printed by going to http://www.viennahighschool.com/studentresources and selecting Schedule Change Request Form.

Students entering the 9th grade, transferring, or participating in athletics must provide a copy of a current (within the year) physical and immunization records in order to register or participate in a school sport.

State law requires diabetes screening to be completed on all school physicals (K, 1, 5, 9, Pre-K, or other programs offered through the school).

An eye exam is required for all students entering the public school system or the Illinois public school system for the first time. A dental examination is also required for incoming 9th grade students or students new to the district.

Bus routes will follow the same patterns as last year. New students to the district are asked to call or stop by the high school so we can determine which bus route and estimated time of pick-up.

Book and locker rental fees will be $45.

All students must purchase P.E. uniforms, if they do not have one from a previous year. P.E. uniforms will be approximately $16 and should be paid for at registration. Optional student accident insurance can be purchased.

Parking stickers will be $3 for those who drive automobiles on campus.  Students will need to provide information on the make, model, color, and license number of the vehicle you are registering.

All new student and incoming freshmen will need to provide a copy of their birth certificate.

There will be a $75 class fee for driver’s education during the school year for all eligible students, payable to Vienna High School at registration.

This fee must be paid when the student registers for class.  At a later date a $20 fee payable to the Secretary of State will be required to take the Learner’s Permit test.

State law requires students to maintain a minimum grade point average to be eligible to get a Learner’s Permit.

The first day of school is on Friday, Aug. 12, with an 11:30 a.m. dismissal.

For the next week, Aug. 15 through 19, there will be  a 2 p.m. dismissal.
