Game, coronation scheduled for Friday
The Vienna High School 2016 Homecoming is Friday, Jan. 15. The Eagles will host Eldorado in the homecoming game, with the JV game beginning at 5:45 p.m., followed by the varsity game.
Coronation will follow the varsity game, culminating with the crowning of the VHS Homecoming queen and king.
Homecoming week will consist of a variety of activities, including dress up days and lunch time competitions between classes, leading into Homecoming Day on Friday.
Friday activities will include candidate skits, class lip syncs, voting and the fierce tug of war competition between the classes.
As part of the homecoming activities, students have contributed money for charitable donations to local agencies. In addition to these fundraisers, on Friday afternoon during the homecoming activities, the Student Council will sponsor a collection for donations to benefit local flood victims.
Friday night’s homecoming dance will begin immediately following the coronation. Admission to the dance is $5.00. Drinks may be purchased at the dance. DJ Craig Bradley will provide the music.
Grade school students and guests over 21 are not allowed to attend the dance. The dance ends at midnight.
