Ludene Anderson, age 75 years, a resident of Vienna, passed away Tuesday morning, November 24, 2015, at 6:01 a.m. at the Harrisburg Medical Center.
Ludene was born December 8, 1939 on the family farm near Vienna. She was the sixth child born to Willie and Carrie (Elliott) Ford.
On July 2, 1960, Ludene was united in marriage to Billy J. Anderson in Cypress, Illinois. He preceded her in death on April 15, 1980.
Survivors include: her son Danny (Della) Anderson of Harrisburg; two grandchildren, Jodie (Johnathan) Vineyard of Herod and Wesley (Alyssa) Anderson of Carrier Mills; two great grandchildren, Adriana Anderson and Benjamin Vineyard; a brother, Weldon Ford of Elkhart, Indiana; three sisters-in-law, Mavis Ford, Betty Ford and Helen Ford all of Elkhart, Indiana; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Ludene was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth, Everett, and Glenn Ford; a sister and brother-in-law, Carlene and Tom Cox.
Ludene was employed in the sewing department of the former Good Luck Glove Company in Vienna. She then worked for many years at the Vienna Dairy Queen. Later, she worked as a custodian at a number of area businesses in Vienna, including Integra Bank, Chip Wynn Chevrolet, and the Vienna Public Library.
Ludene was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed walking and is remembered for always keeping her home and car immaculately clean.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon, November 27, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Burial will be in the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 12 noon – 2 p.m. Friday at Bailey Funeral Home.
