Edna Phillips, age 90 years, a resident of Vienna passed away Friday morning, May 29, 2015, at her home.
Edna was born August 3, 1924 in Johnson County Illinois. She was the daughter of Moody C. & Mary (Baker) Wallace.
On June 1, 1946, Edna was united in marriage to Lowell R. Phillips at Vienna. He preceded her in death on November 13, 2000.
Edna is survived by her daughters, Linda (Floyd) Koehler of Vienna and Karen (Gene) Luttrell of North Pole, Alaska; three granddaughters, Wendi (Todd) Bailey and their children Taryn, Tanner, and Tori; Kim (Eric) Blackman and their children, Kayler, Mallory, Natalie, and Jerret; and Jamie (Chad) Parker and their son Caleb; two sisters, Betty Ehrstein of Valparaiso, Indiana and Melba Taylor of Vienna; a brother, Jim Wallace of Pompano Beach, Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Edna was preceded in death by an infant son, Robert Michael; as well as two sisters, Mary Cox and Violet Mathis; and a brother, Bill Wallace.
Edna was employed for several years as a cook at the Vienna Grade School. She enjoyed sewing, crochet, quilting and cooking.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, June 1, 2015, at the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery. Dr. Ed Hollis will officiate. Those attending the service are asked to gather at the cemetery at 10:45 a.m. Monday.
There will be no public visitation.
