Rozetta Larrison Barnett – Obituary

Rozetta Larrison Barnett, daughter of Fred and Katie Morgan Larrison, was born in Massac County, Illinois, on February 18, 1921, and went to meet the Lord at 2:20 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2015, at Southgate Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Metropolis.

She was a faithful member of Boaz Congregational Church as long as her health allowed her to attend.  She had served as a Sunday School teacher, church clerk and trustee.  She was retired from the Nationwide Glove Factory in Metropolis.

Rozetta and Armon “Dude” Barnett were united in marriage on January 19, 1952.  He preceded her in death on November 22, 2009.

She is survived by two children, Angela Wells and husband Willie, and Philip Barnett and wife Barbara all of Karnak; four grandchildren, Jonathon Barnett and wife Kristy, Jeremy Barnett and wife Tori, Stacey Westbrooks and husband Chad, and Alison Bishop and husband Zach; five great-grandsons, Owen, Mason and Grant Westbrooks, Tyler and Gage Barnett; four great-granddaughters, Paisley and Tenley Barnett, Katie and Emery Bishop; two nieces, one nephew along with other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two brothers, Oscar and Charlie Larrison; two sisters, Ada Altenberger and Alma Watkins.

Funeral services for Mrs. Rozetta Larrison Barnett will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 11, 2015 at the Boaz Congregational Church with Rev.
