Hannah McGinnis leads Illinois College to winning season

rp_primary_McGinnisHannah McGinnis, daughter of Patti and the late Mike McGinnis of Tunnel Hill, graduated from Vienna High School in 2011. After a storied high school basketball career where she totaled 1498 points and brought down 1228 rebounds, she’s gone on to set the world of women’s collegiate basketball on fire.

McGinnis has become the leader of Jacksonville’s Illinois College  women’s basketball team. This season she has averaged 20.6 points per game while pulling down 13.8 rebounds. Not only has her performance been sensational, its been record setting.

This week in a game against the Knox Prairie Fire, McGinnis set a new Midwest Conference record grabbing an incredible 27 rebounds. McGinnis’ hard work has led the Lady Blues to a record of 11-6.

McGinnis has totaled 351 points and 234 rebounds this season. With six games remaining in regular season play, McGinnis is on track to easily exceed 400 points.
