Darrell Dee James

Darrell JamesDarrell Dee James of Whiteash, 64, passed away at 10:52 A.M, on Monday October 27, 2014 at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 31, 2013, at Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Don Colson officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Outlaws Fishing Club, Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Darrell was born on April 10, 1950 in Carbondale the son of Jesse Harold and Vaunda Marscella (Johnson) James. He married LaDonna (Sexton) on August 4, 1988 in Paducah, KY. She survives.

Darrell was a retired body shop manager working at Vogler Ford. He was an avid baseball and softball fan and lived to fish. He was a member of the Whiteash Freewill Baptist Church.

He is survived by six children, Scott James of Greeley, Co, Penny Gove and husband Tim of Zeigler, Jon James and wife Wanda of Johnston City, Michelle (Gatz) Stephenson and husband Bryan of Marion, Jennifer Downs of Whiteash, and Michael James and wife Savannah of Herrin; ten grandchildren; one brother, Allen James and wife Sally of Tunnel Hill; one sister, Ann James of Tunnel Hill; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Marsha James.
