Elizabeth Ann Taylor, age 91, of Karnak, died at 5:45 a.m. Friday morning, August 1, 2014 at her home in Karnak within the comfort of her family.
Elizabeth was born March 13, 1923. She was affectionatly known as “Liz”. She was very artistic, enjoyed painting, quilting and upholstery. Liz found beauty in nature and she loved camping and fishing. She married Gene Taylor who retired from General Motors in Flint Michigan.
Elizabeth is survived by one son, Bobbie Inman and wife Sandy of Karnak; one daughter, Judith A. Hale of Metropolis; two brothers, Raymond and Billy Dover of Grand Chain; one grandson, Timothy Byng; seven granddaughters, Holly Carlson, Debbie (Ron) Yearwood, April Inman, Jeriann Youman, Melissa Merideth, Johnnie Morris and Lucrecia (Roger) Short; twenty three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Sue Mosley; infant son, Jerry Inman; her husband, Gene Taylor; her parents were, Dewey and Flora Murphy Dover; two sisters, Alice Inman and Ella Smoot.; two brothers, James and Dewey Dover Jr.
Funeral services for Elizabeth Ann Taylor will be Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak with Rev. Dean West officiating. Interment will follow in the Masonic Cemetery in Cypress. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6 till 8 p.m. and Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour of 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
