James “Jim” Klabacha, age 66 years, a resident of Goreville, passed away early Monday morning, July 7, 2014 at his home.
Jim was born July 21, 1947, in Chicago, IL. He was the son of Benedict Klabacha and Helen (Sypowicz) Klabacha.
He was formerly united in marriage to Kay (Coyle) Gilmore and later to Rosie Anderson.
Additionally he is survived by: His daughter, Kristine L. Klabacha of Evergreen Park, IL; his brother, John (Charlene) Klabacha of Orland Park, IL; three nephews, Scott Klabacha, Mark Klabacha, & Kevin (Tracy) Coyle; six nieces, Sara (Matthew) Stack, Michelle (Ryan) Berenz, Sharon Coyle, Cecile Izydorek, Dawn Morales & Raquel (Robert) Vital; several great nieces & nephews; and his trusted friend and neighbor, Alice Hurley.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Klabacha, and his beloved Mary Pat.
Jim was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a Salesman, working for much of his life in the electronics industry. He never met a stranger. Jim enjoyed talking and visiting with all of his clients.
Jim loved to go fishing, enjoyed cooking, riding motorcycles, and “tinkering” with cars, motorcycles and electronics.
A Graveside service will be held Wednesday morning, July 23, 2014, at 10 a.m. at the Maplelawn Park Cemetery in Paducah, KY. Pastor R.G. Null will officiate. A Military Flag Presentation will be accorded by the Illinois National Guard Burial Honors Detail.
