Frank Blaine Moake, 74, a resident of Cypress, Illinois, passed away Tuesday afternoon, February 25, 2014, at 3:10 p.m. at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas.
Frank was born December 3, 1939 in Cypress, Illinois. He was the son of Melvin and Dorothy (Dorsett) Moake.
Frank was united in marriage to Rita Jo (Green) on July 10, 1960 in Cypress. She survives.
Other survivors include: a son – Chuck Moake of Cypress; 3 grandsons – Cale, Blaine, & Bryson; a brother – Ed Moake of Cypress; 2 sisters – Sandy Richardson of Cypress and Melva Adams of Avon, Indiana, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by: a brother – Shirley Lee Moake and 2 sisters – Viola Mae Moake and Wanda Fern Gulley.
Frank was employed for over 45 years by Green Implement in Cypress where he worked as a mechanic.
Frank was of the Methodist faith. He was an avid NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt, Sr. fan and a devoted Kentucky Wildcats Basketball fan.He loved camping and for the past 10 years, he and Rita have enjoyed vacationing on South Padre Island, Texas. Frank was devoted to his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandsons.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon, March 2, 2014, at 1:30 p.m. at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Rev. Jay Franklin and Rev. Kevin Richerson will officiate. Burial will be in the Cypress Masonic Cemetery.
Visitation will be conducted from 5 – 8 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
