Digital interpretive kiosk available at Depot

kioskThe Ohio River Scenic Byway has placed a state of the art digital interpretive kiosk at the Forman Depot Welcome Center at the Vienna City Park to enhance visitors experiences while in the area. Travelers may now, at the touch of a screen similar to a large iPad, take a tour along sites in the surrounding area and learn about local heritage, its history and what’s available to view, and do along the Ohio River Scenic Byway route and nearby areas. Pictured next to the kiosk at the Depot are Rhonda Belford, interim chairman of Ohio River Scenic Byway and Phil Morris, Johnson County tourism director.

Several more digital interpretive kiosks, similar to this restaurant kiosk, have been placed along the Ohio River Scenic Byway counties and include the following locations: the Red Onion Restaurant in Equality; The E’town Riverport Express in Elizabethtown; the Chocolate Factory in Golconda; the Fort Massac State Park Museum in Metropolis; Our Place Restaurant and Country Store in Karnak and the Cairo Public Library in Cairo. Harrisburg is slated to receive one of the kiosks as well.
