Sally A. Trovillion, age 83 years, a resident of Vienna, Illinois, passed away Sunday morning, May 26, 2013, at 5:15 a.m. at her home.
Sally was born October 18, 1929 in Flint, Michigan. She was the daughter of Robert and Hattie (Husted) Churchill.
Sally was united in marriage to Glenn F. Trovillion on October 23, 1948 in Flint, Michigan. He survives.
Other survivors include her children, Terry (Carla) Trovillion of Vienna, Diana (Michael) Newton of Vienna, Lorie (William) Hawkins of St. Augustine, FL, Jan (Jeffrey) Meyer of Johnston City, IL, Jill (Randy) Betts of Vienna, and Holly (Kevin) Mount of Lakeland, TN.
She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, a brother, William “Bill” (Virginia) Churchill of Flint, MI, and two sisters-in-law, Pauline Kleckler of Vienna and Hannah Joyce Trovillion of Lake City, MI.
In addition to her parents, Sally was preceded in death by an infant sibling and a grandson, Dean Betts.
Sally was a graduate of Northern High School in Flint, Michigan. Along with her husband Glenn, Sally was the former co-owner/operator of Trovillion Tavern in Vienna. She was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker and was an immaculate housekeeper. Sally was a member of the Vivacious Red Hats. She and Glenn attended the First United Methodist Church in Vienna.
Sally enjoyed sewing, gardening and raising flowers. She was an excellent cook and baker. Sally was happiest when she was taking care of and looking after her family and guests. She is fondly remembered for her love of playing bingo and cards. At one time, Sally had been a member of a Pinochle Club. She was a devoted St. Louis Cardinals Baseball fan. Sally cherished her family and especially enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning, May 29, 2013, at 11 AM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Pastor Bill Gholson will officiate.
Burial will be in the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 – 8 p.m. Tuesday at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
