Lisa Cheryl Lynn Akridge Kerley, 46, a resident of Johnston City, IL, Passed away Sunday afternoon November 18, 2012 at 4:08 p.m. at the Herrin Hospital in Herrin.
Lisa was born November 25, 1965 in Sikeston, MO. She was the daughter of Freddie Gene Akridge and Geraldine Dianna (Magee) Akridge.
Survivors include her father, Freddie Gene Akridge of Catron, MO; mother, Geraldine Dianna Llewellyn of Anna; two daughters, Desiree (Chris) Covey of Grantsburg and Ashley Bowling (Kip Wilson) of Simpson; a son, Jared Bowling of Cobden; three grandchildren, Kaylee & Kenzy Covey and Dawson Wilson.
She is also survived by three sisters, Michelle (Glenn) Cook of Goreville, Sonia Rhymer of Anna, and Kimberly (Jeff) Hickam of Jonesboro; a niece, Cheyenne Cook; nephews- Robert Gooden, Mathew Gooden, Will Cook and Brandon Rhymer; and a special friend, Roy Lynn Kerley of Vienna.
Lisa was preceded in death by: her grandparents, Elish & Bunav Magee and Herchel & Katherine Akridge.
Lisa was an In Home Caregiver and was very passionate about her job.
Lisa was a devoted Mother and Grandmother she loved spending time with her grandchildren, going fishing and riding motorcycles.
Funeral Services will be held Friday November 23, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at the Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna, IL. Pastor Frank Forthman will officiate. Burial will be in the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Friday at the Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
