Passed away Saturday morning, August 4, 2012, at 6:37 AM at his home near Vienna.
Terry was born August 18, 1946 in Logan, West Virginia. He was the son of James Dale Mullins and Olive Pearl (McCoy) Mullins.
Terry was united in marriage to Brenda F. Dalton on April 1, 1987 in Jackson, Missouri. She survives.

Terry was also anticipating the birth of twin granddaughters in October 2012

Terry was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving from 1964-1972. During his military tenure, Terry served as a medical administrative specialist and flew air rescue and air evacuation of patients from southeast Asia for two years. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant.
Terry received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education, Training and Development from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. He had an extensive professional career in healthcare management and medical services. From 1973-1978, Terry was the Illinois Department of Public Health, Emergency Medical Services Coordinator and Hospital Administrative Director of the Emergency Department at Sherman Hospital and IDOC in Elgin, IL. He was employed from 1978-1980 as a federal medical services director in Oklahoma City; and from 1980-1989 he served as the EMS Coordinator/Instructor and Program Coordinator of Safety Awareness for Southeastern Illinois College. From 1989-1992, he served as regional manager for Prison Health Services. Terry served from 1992-1999 as Vice President of Wexford Health Sources, later serving as Senior Practice Manager for the University of Texas Medical Branch. Terry last was employed as the Director of Diagnostics and Therapeutics at the Marion V.A. Medical Center, where he was a member of the Systemic Ongoing Assessment and Review Strategy (SOARS) evaluation team. Terry retired on December 31, 2010.
Terry was a very active and involved individual in community and civic affairs. He had served as a member and was the past-president of the Vienna High School Board of Education.
Terry loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, horseback riding, golfing and spending time sitting on his front porch. Terry was an FFA alumni and had a deep love for his farm and the land. Terry was also an avid Harley-Davidson motorcycle enthusiast.
A celebration of the life of Terry Mullins will be held Tuesday evening, August 7, 2012, at 6 PM at the Vienna City Park. Brother Kim Capel will officiate.
Military honors and flag presentation will be conducted by the Beggs-Gurley VFW Post 5222 and the Illinois National Guard Burial Honors Detail.
The family will receive friends from 5 PM – 6 PM Tuesday at the Vienna City Park. Those attending the service are asked to dress casually and comfortably.
Following the service an informal procession will form to travel to the family residence for a gathering. Family & friends who enjoy motorcycles are encouraged to ride their bikes.
