Funeral services will be 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, with visitation following the service until 8 p.m. Graveside services will be Saturday, Aug. 11, at noon in Boulden Church Cemetery in Eddyville.
Memorials can be made to the donor’s choice.
Kenneth was born on June 25, 1944, in Eddyville, the son of Van and Essie Parsons Bailey.
He married Mamie Cates on Sept. 11, 1966. She preceded him in death in 2007.
Kenneth worked at the Department of Motor Vehicles as a customer service representative, retiring in 2005. Prior to that he worked at PPG from 1960-1993 as a shift supervisor. Kenneth was also a volunteer fireman for the SouthWheatland Fire Department.
In his spare time, he enjoyed drag racing in Assumption, fishing and going to the gambling boat. Kenneth loved video games, playing the guitar and country and bluegrass music. He was also a member of the Eddyville Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his son, Michael Bailey and Sueann McCollum and her children Trever, Kyle and Derek, all of Decatur; a brother, William Bailey of Eddyville; a sister, Kay Peppersack and husband Charles of Eddyville; a granddaughter, Anna; and special family friends, Chad Woollen and Ron French.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and a grandson, Cameron.
