Reba Kotter Hale

Reba Kotter Hale, 96, of Karnak, died at 7:05 p.m., Friday, July 13, 2012, at the SouthGate Nursing and Rehab Center in Metropolis.

Mrs Kotter was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Karnak and a member of the Grand Chain Order of Eastern Star. Reba and her husband Warren were the owners and operators of Kotters Trucking Service in Karnak.

Survivors include one son, Bernard Kotter of Karnak; one daughter, Judy and Bob Wright of Karnak; one sister, Bernice Mescher of Austin, Texas; four granddaughters, Tina and Mark Canada of Clay City, Toni Adams of Hampton, Ga., Terri Kotter of De Soto, Mo., and Jill and J.R. Evers of Cypress; one grandson, Clay and Jada Wright of Cypress; and four great-grandchildren, Megan Canada, Erica Evers, Clayton Wright and Lane Wright.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Warren Kotter; her second husband, Raymond Hale; her parents, Harmon and Minnie Krueger Strueve; one sister, Attie Quint; and one brother, Rueben Strueve.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 16, at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak wih the Rev. Allen Milligan officiating. Interment was in Metropolis Memorial Gardens.
